The Z series Phillips Bits are extra tough bits for driving into hard materials such as sheet steel and metal.  When driving into hard materials, the screw initially turns smoothly inside the defined thread.  As soon as the head of the screw touches the material surface, high torque peaks are generated that have an affect on the screw and tool.  If the bit is too hard, this can cause the bit to break.  Wera Series Z Bits are tough, and resistant to breakage during this type of application.
