1 year Between Coolant Changes

Filter Systems - Instruments - Coolant Analysis

Filter systems - great engineering makes them small, simple, easy to use and inexpensive - from $1,000 to $3,000

Longer wear and tougher materials

Beyond carbide - Longer wear & tougher

Cermet 2® materials are longer wearing than tungsten carbide and are much harder to break.  Our advanced grades are 50 % to 1,100 % longer wearing.  Plus they braze and grind just like carbide.

The World's Best Brazed Tools

For over twenty five years we have developed advanced tool technology for major industrial operations such as Weyerhaeuser sawmills.  These are companies that build, maintain and use the tools all in the same operation.  The highly skilled, highly qualified and intelligent men and women in charge of these tools are called saw filers.  These operations measure material cut in miles per day, a single tool failure can cost $10,000 and a difference in kerf of 0.001" can mean $50,000 a year.  Traditionally the very best tools have been built in house or in a very few top end shops and they have been sold by representatives to large users.  We now offer the very best tools to medium and small shops as well as individual craftsmen.

Tungsten Carbide: We offer standard. & new grades; treated, tinned and / or brazed.  We also offer cobalt / chrome alloy saw tipping rod at better quality & lower prices.  Odds are 90 - 95% we can improve your carbide performance with standard grades & our Cermet 2 grades are even better.

Cermet & Ceramic Tipped Tools: Cermet tipped saws & tools and tool tips.  We sell the tips or the tools in steel cutting & other grades.  A Cermet tipped saw in a saw mill lasted 5 times as long as a standard carbide saw.  This was a Hula cutoff saw

Coolant: Dirty coolant is hard on the grinder and the diamond wheels. Filtered and treated coolant looks clean and clear. We offer filter systems, coolants, test instruments and coolant analysis.

Brazing: We can braze almost anything with special emphasis on tungsten carbide, cermets, and ceramics. We can also treat any WC, all TiCN & some Al2O3 so it brazes easily.  We also offer braze alloys, braze treating, and even offer brazing training for individual specialize needs. We do things no one else can do.

Carbide Processors Inc. is an industry leader in hardmetal alloys such as tungsten carbide and titanium carbonitride and related technology. Carbide Processors, Inc. is the industry leader in cermet saw technology, and are known throughout the industry for producing advanced technology tools.  Ceramic tipped sawblades outlast and outperform carbide tungsten tipped sawblades in many applications. Our production facilities are located in Tacoma, WA and our products are used all over the world.

Northwest Research Institute specializes in testing, research and development of wear resistant Hardmetal Alloys and the related technology. Northwest Research Institute was recently granted a patent for:  A Method of Treating Ceramics for Use as Tips in Saws and Other Tools or Other Structures (US Patent #6322871)

Our products include ceramic tipped saws, knife and sporting alloys, coolant filter systems, and much more. Our ceramic tipped saws and cermet technology is used in sawmills, cabinet production factories, wood fabrication plants, etc. to speed production and give better results. Cermet tipped saws cut 30 slats at a time compared to only 14 for carbide tipped saws, can be run longer and at higher speeds, and make much smoother cuts. Manufacturing operations that have machinery running at high speeds utilize our coolant, and coolant filter systems to keep their operations running smoother, and longer. Our wear resistant metal alloys (Talonite, Impervium, Lubricium) are used to manufacture high end sporting goods, and the highest quality Knives.

Our services include pretinning saw tips and similar, brazing, braze training, consultation, coolant management, pretinning carbide, and more. Carbide Processors, Inc. is the world's leading expert on brazing tungsten carbides for saws and tools, pretinning carbide, cermets and ceramics. The training we offer is the finest available and our services are can help you achieve better results, with lower production costs, and less downtime.
